Laser shaft alignment is necessary to correct faults in the shafts. This type of alignment is also called centering alignment. Misalignment often leads to problems in the operation of the equipment. Various studies shows that about 50% of all damages on machines with rotating parts are caused by poor centring alignment.
In the misaligned shafts occurs moment of the forces of reaction, which leads to an increase in the load on the bearing supports.
Upon increase of the misalignment with 20% the durability of the bearings decreases by nearly 50%. Moreover, wear is more rapid on seals and connectors, the energy consumption increases.
The lack of alignment of the shafts is the main cause of the increase of vibrations in engines, transmissions, pumps, and other, resulting in increased power consumption, reduced bearing life or damage to the drive clutches. This reduces the efficiency and productivity of the equipment, increases the maintenance costs.
Laser shaft alignment is used to automatically check and correct the alignment of the shafts. We use laser-optical measurement systems that achieve high precision alignment.
The reached deviation from alignment to 0,01mm satisfy the most demanding machines. By specialized computer and software we track the results on each stage of the inspection and alignment, which significantly shortens the time needed compared to using conventional means (brackets indicator watches, caliper, feeler).
Laser shaft alignment reduces wear on equipment, increases its productivity and quality of production, cuts costs for maintenance and repair.
